DTVi’s Second Generation TSACO‐2000 is a failsafe
protection switch that automatically prevents TV
broadcasters and teleport head ends from unexpectedly
going off air. The TSACO‐2000 enables a broadcast station
to automatically switch between the primary and backup
transport stream in the event of a failure defined in the
user configurable web interface.
The Second Generation TSACO‐2000 monitors both the
primary and backup input streams for 14 different user
definable parameters, configurable from the new web
server interface. Parameters include: HEX 47 sync bytes
(2 level carrier detection), PAT, PSIP and additional
multiple services (up to 9 PID’s). The signal continuity
remains seamless during the transition, which allows the
receiver to maintain lock. The TSACO‐2000 offers
broadcasters a reliable, robust, intelligent redundancy
solution based on a hardware platform complete with
redundant power supply and mechanical relay bypass.
It is an excellent option for broadcasters who want to prevent transmission outages.
