The TSC-5000 is a robust, real time MPEG transport stream converter that is compliant with both ATSC and DVB standards. It converts MPEG transport streams between ASI and SMPTE 310M. Any one of the two formats at the input is converted into the other format simultaneously, at the output.

The SMPTE 310M output has a null packet insertion capability that up converts lower input bit rate transport streams to the full ATSC 19.392658 Mbps data rate. Null packet insertion ensures that the converted streams playback smoothly without artifacts. PCR restamping is provided for this up conversion to ensure the consistent PCR delivery.
