02 In September 2002, LINX Electronics, creates a Broadcast Group to provide support for one of the company’s investors, Liberty Corporation, during Liberty’s transition to Digital Television. Liberty Corporation is a broadcast station group owner.

Linx Electronics hires Christopher Knechtel to lead the broadcast group.

   
04 In June, 2004 LINX Electronics is acquired by Micronas Semiconductors Inc. (MSI), the US subsidiary of the German parent company, Micronas Semiconductors Holding AG. The acquisition is based on the intellectual property owned by Linx.
   
05 In December 2005, Micronas spins out the Broadcast Group to DTV Innovations LLC, a newly created company owned by Mercantile Capital Group, a private equity fund. This maneuver is based on the determination that the Broadcast Group was not part of the core business which Micronas serves.
