In September 2002, LINX Electronics, creates a Broadcast Group to support Liberty Corporation, a broadcast station group owner and Company investor.
Linx Electronics hires Christopher Knechtel to lead the broadcast group.
In June, 2004 LINX Electronics is acquired by Micronas Semiconductors Inc. (MSI), U.S. subsidiary of German parent company, Micronas Semiconductors Holding AG. The acquisition is based on the intellectual property owned by Linx.
In December 2005, Micronas spins out the Broadcast Group to DTV Innovations LLC, a newly created company owned by Mercantile Capital Group, a private equity fund. Andrew Lask is named Chief Executive Officer.
